INFANT CURRICULUM

Here at Creative Hands Point Cook, your child will have their own primary educator to settle them into their new environment and become comfortable with their new surroundings.


We understand that every Child is unique, so our Primary Carers will work closely with you to understand your child's needs, routines and experiences to ensure a smooth transition into care that will make our Centre feel like an extesnion of thier home.


All of our Educators provide continues communication with home and will adapt with your Baby as requirments change.

WHAT TO BRING

  • Bottles (Formula or Breast Milk)
  • Water Bottle
  • Any comforters - dummy. cuddly, toy, blanket
  • Spare clothes

6 weeks - 2 years

Children seek to explore the meaning of the world around them from the day they are born, we are honoured with the responsibilty of nuturing and caring for your Baby during this crucial time.

TODDLER CURRICULUM

While an important age for emotional development, this curious and lively group of children are also keen to take on challenges and develop their physical ability.


Here at Creative Hands Point Cook we make sure that our curriculum involves: the discussion and discovery of feelings, creative thinking, talking and communication, moving and motor skills.


We also ensure to include everyday skills such as toilet training, hygiene and independence meal times.


We understand that every creative gesture provides a possible new learning territory that can be picked up and explored.

2 Years - 3 Years

During the Toddler years, independence and curiosity grow.

We combine our empathy and intuitive understanding of children with a deep knowledge of how they develop and explore the world around them.

PRE-KINDER CURRICULUM

Our Pre Kinder program is designed to empower children, build confidence and foster a sense of belonging in their wider community so they can successfully start kinder with confidence.


Our educators are reflective and proactive with the Children as they encourage cooperative play, introduce problem solving skills and explore new challenges.


We set the tone, relating, responding and reassuring to build the necessary trust and personal confidence for children to become explorers and adventurers.

3 Years - 4 Years

The transition from the Toddler to Kinder years is an important time in a childs emotional development.

It is at this point Your child will start to understand their uniqueness and have more sense of the world around them and their place in it.

We use this time to be a strong support network for your Child.

KINDER CURRICULUM

With structured teacher-led learning (intentional Teacher) and child-initiated play, our kinder program is integrated across the day and led by degree-qualified educators.


We foster a play-based program, with Children participating in regular small group activities.


At Creative Hands, we put every individual child at the heart of what we do – seeking to understand their wider life context and celebrating their uniqueness.


Living in today’s rapidly transformational world, our program seeks to equip your children with resilience and adaptability to develop independent life skills – to grow in self-confidence and self-identity.
